Restoring Hope - Gazan Family Relief Program

(2026-2027)

Beginning in early 2026, we launched a relief program for displaced Palestinian families living in Cairo in collaboration with Misr El Kheir Foundation. The program supports approximately 700 beneficiaries, many of whom are single mothers facing the challenges of rebuilding their lives in Egypt while supporting their children with limited financial resources.

Through the program, families receive:

  • Rental relief to help provide greater housing stability.
  • Food vouchers for local supermarkets to help families meet their basic nutritional needs.
  • Hygiene kits containing essential household and personal hygiene supplies.
  • Trauma-informed psychosocial support sessions, provided in collaboration with The 360 Clinics, giving children and adults a safe space to process their experiences and receive professional support.
  • Group empowerment sessions that encourage connection, confidence, and practical support among displaced families.
  • Family fun and community-building days that provide opportunities for families to spend time together, build friendships, and experience moments of normalcy and joy.

For many displaced Gazan families in Cairo, these services address challenges that extend far beyond immediate financial hardship. Many families have arrived after experiencing profound disruption and loss, and single mothers in particular often carry the responsibility of supporting their children while navigating life in a new environment. By combining material assistance with psychosocial care, empowerment, and community connection, the program seeks to provide families with greater stability, dignity, and a sense of belonging as they rebuild their lives in Cairo.
